Rockstar games put out the game ‘Bully’ quite a while ago, and it was almost instantly compared to their prior success in the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ series. Maybe the comparison was thought to be justified because this game is similar in feel, being another open world game. The major difference, however, is that this game sucks in every way that Grand Theft Auto succeeds. GTA has a core theme that entertains players, namely stealing a car and driving around or trashing it. Bully lacks this core theme completely, other than what, going around and beating people up? GTA proved early on that the missions have to entertain, but not be entirely linear. Bully fails at this, with a completely linear storyline and missions always unlock other missions, but nothing different. The saving grace for this game *could* have been the side activities, unfortunately in Bully they are even less entertaining than the missions.
