Review of the movie "Iron Man 2′

As promised, here is my review of the movie ‘Iron Man 2’.  Before I even get into, leave me your thoughts on what other movie you’d like me to review, as I am still looking to review 2 movies Sunday.  The question most people ask about Iron Man 2 is how much they’d enjoy it without seeing Iron Man 1 first. (Mostly people in person ask me this, I don’t know why everyone online has seen it)  Obviously, the interpersonal relationship/ romance between Pepper and Tony Stark will be lost on you, as well as the relationship between Tony Stark and Jame Rhodes.  You won’t really know the background of Stark industries, and Tony Stark’s father, but most of what you need to know can be gleamed during the movie.   Still, its highly recommended to see Iron Man 1 first, if for no other reason than to fit together every single loose end.  There are a lot of new characters in Iron Man 2, and lots of cameos by Jon Favreau, but each character development is brief enough to not weigh down the plot, and yet still leave you wanting more (ahem, Scarlett Johansson).  Mickey Rourke does a surprisingly good job at playing the bad guy ‘Whiplash’, though all the nerds will be disappointed at how much the movie deviates from the graphic novels.  And, like always, the ending will have no second-act twist, it won’t leave you surprised, and it will leave jsut enough loose ends for them to choose to do ‘Iron Man 3’.  Overall, it’s an enjoyable movie, one that you’ll feel was time (and money) well spent, but not too much more.
