Before I sat down to watch this movie, I had seen some of the previews, but wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew there would be a few really funny scenes, but didn’t have my hopes up for much more than that. While the plot does aim for a romantic comedy, I think they could have done a better job at it by a more subtle route. So much of the movie’s time frame is given towards a setup for the humor, that everything else feels like it just got ‘thrown in’ for good measure. The comedy in this movie was great, and those who just want to watch a wonderful comedy, this is perfect. But the plot just doesn’t leave room for much else.
